How to achieve an 80-fold increase in business on Alibaba.com?

BIGPIE C&T was established in 2012. BIGPIE specializes in the cosmetics industry providing a one-stop service for cosmetics. We specialize in the manufacture of cosmetics using state of the art technologies in both OEM to ODM manufacturing and design processes.

For the first few years after we established the business, we were dealing with 38 buyers from 6 different countries located in Southeast Asia and China. But once we started selling on Alibaba.com and dived into making cosmetics OEM for brands, we now deal with over 250 buyers specializing in cosmetics from 80 countries and regions from all around the world. Our revenue for this year is $14 million, which is about 80 times more business than we were doing before.

Before the outbreak of Covid-19, I participated in many trade shows where I could introduce our products to buyers from different countries. But the cost of attending such events is between US $16,000 and US $43,000 if we rented one or two booths. However, on Alibaba.com, you can meet buyers from all over the world with a small membership fee that is tenth of the expenses we had before. That is the biggest advantage.

Through Alibaba.com we can target the buyers who would like to order our products from anywhere in the world. Even though we invent new, innovative, and superior products, the business cannot grow without buyers who are interested in buying the products.
