From the Italian market to world-wide trade
“I am Nicol of Camiceria Mira, a men’s and baby’s shirt manufacturer from Italy. Established I 2013 we specialize in shirt designs with digital printing techniques. The company grew fast in the first few years and we built up a strong sales team and expanded quickly on to the Italian market. We were eagerly looking for a new growth engine to sustain our growth.
We'd like to ride the inevitable trend and sell globally as an Italian manufacturer. We have seen an increasing number of Italian companies that were able to expand on to global markets by leveraging e-commerce platforms. We conducted some quite rigorous feasibility checks of e-commerce platforms, considering the coverage of business, buyer sizes, category trends etc. and finally, we decided to join Alibaba.com.

Alibaba.com provides posting functions for your company and products. With easy clicks, you are able to upload your products onto the platform. They are then displayed in front of millions of buyers. You can always update your postings according to market trends. For example, I'll study how buyers search for men's shirts, and what they input, what are the related keywords. Then I update my settings in postings to ensure our products always list high in search results.
On Alibaba.com, I receive dozens of inquiries every day. My daily routine is to check the message box and reply to these inquiries. What's special about Alibaba.com is that there's a Request for Quotation (RFQ) section in the website. In the RFQ market, buyers can post their requirements in public. All the sellers can read the public inquiries and (gold suppliers can) reply. You can browse and seek business opportunities by simply searching your keywords. For example, I put "men's shirts" in the search box. It comes out with a list of inquiries. These are all real customer demands. I visit this page regularly and close deals. It's marvelous, isn't it? I can't believe how much time and cost I have wasted travelling to events and exhibitions.
