Qaztrade and Alibaba.com signed the memorandum in Global Digital Trade Expo (GDTE) 2022

On December 12, the first Global Digital Trade Expo (GDTE) 2022 with the theme of " Connecting Digital Trade to the World " entered the second day. As one of the important cooperation facilitated by GDTE, Alibaba.com and the QazTrade Center for Trade Policy Development Company signed the memorandum of cooperation. Deputy Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, Mr. Torebayev, delivered an online speech. Vice President of Alibaba.com, Andrew Zheng, and General Director of Qaztrade, Mr. Nuraly Bukeikhanov, attended the online signing ceremony. Representative of Alibaba Group and commercial representative of the Kazakhstan Embassy in China attended the signing ceremony of major projects at GDTE.

Over the past three years, Qaztrade has been cooperating with Alibaba.com to help Kazakhstan suppliers build online showcase windows, promote, sell local products online and help Kazakhstan enterprises realize digital transformation by relying on Alibaba.com's data technology and full-link cross-border supply chain service system. At present, more than 150 enterprises have been selected as "Global Gold Suppliers" to Alibaba.com, and more than 4000 kinds of Kazakhstan products such as macaroni, flour, honey, candy, meat, beverages, vegetable, oil, furniture and garments have been displayed to global buyers from China, UAE, Oman, Eurasian Economic Union and Central Asian countries. In June 2022, Kazakhstan opened an exclusive country pavilion on Alibaba.com.

Through the cooperation with Alibaba.com, Qaztrade plans to help local suppliers promote their featured products in the global market and locate potential importers to provide potential opportunities for Kazakhstan suppliers to export to China for supply chain and distribution services. Alibaba.com and Qaztrade will continue to promote in-depth cooperation between Kazakhstan brands, suppliers and Alibaba's online and offline distribution channels to better meet the diversified needs of chinese and global consumers.
