On Thursday, September 29th, Alibaba.com and Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) held a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing ceremony to empower export-oriented SMEs to enter the global market.
Under the framework of the MoU with KOSME, Alibaba.com will strengthen Korea SMEs’ e-commerce and online B2B transactions, thus expanding their overseas exports.
Through the MoU, the two parties will cooperate to build the South Korea Pavilion on Alibaba.com, co-host online exhibitions on Alibaba.com, promote the official e-commerce training of Alibaba.com, promote co-developed projects, etc.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Andrew Zheng, vice president of Alibaba.com, as well as the Korea-Japan country manager, and business development manager from Alibaba.com. KOSME officials including Moonhwan Kim, Vice President, Global Growth Assistance Division, as well as the director of Global E-Commerce Dept. and Senior Manager of Global E-Commerce Dept. Planning team also attended the ceremony.
The ceremony was held online due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. KOSME officials attended the ceremony at Alibaba.com Korea office’s conference room, located in Jung-gu, Seoul. Vice President Andrew Zheng attended the ceremony at Alibaba.com Italy.
