International Certifications (Baseline Requirements):
• ISO 9001:2015: Quality management system certification. Not product-specific but demonstrates organizational capability. Often mandatory for supplier qualification with large OEMs. Valid for 3 years with annual surveillance audits.
• CE Marking: Required for machinery and safety components sold in European Economic Area. Covers machinery safety, electromagnetic compatibility, and material compliance. Under new EU Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230, certification requirements expand to include cybersecurity for connected equipment.
• ASABE Standards: US agricultural engineering standards covering dimensions, performance, and safety. While not legally mandatory, ASABE compliance is industry expectation for North American market. Regional Certifications (2025-2026 Updates):
• India BIS Certification: Effective August 28, 2025, over 400 machinery types require mandatory Bureau of Indian Standards certification under Order TCR 2024. This includes agricultural tractors, harvesters, and critical components. Certification requires factory inspection and product testing at BIS-recognized labs.
