This thing is a bug zapping machine!!! I read another review where another user had cut the plastic grate every 3rd bar to allow larger bugs access in, so I did the same. [3]

The 1/2 acre size with the bright light blue light is the one that works better than any of the others. [3]

DO NOT BUY. After many years, my bulb failed, and I ordered another unit. The product now has a more clear bulb vs the blacklight style bulb of the former unit and doesn't attract bugs the same way. [3]

Any zapper, or those that uses uv light doesn't work! Yes it will kill bugs, but mosquitos are not attracted to the light they are attracted to the carbon in our breath and sweat. [12]
Comment on mosquito trap effectiveness, 1 upvote
The problem with the standard bug zappers is that both flies and mosquitos can carry diseases. And when they get fried they kind of explode. Which is possibly spraying you and your family with bug, bugs. [13]
